Brand mission statement
Five one-sentence missions, each with the word doing the work named and priced in what it would commit the business to.
Run for Lumira, a demo brand we invented for this page. No customer data. Nothing here runs against a live account.
Every session here was run once and saved, against a demo brand or public data. On your own account Naise works from your brand voice, your campaigns and your connected channels, so it reasons about your data instead of a stand-in.
Most mission statements fail because nobody can be held to them. Naming the load-bearing word turns the exercise into a decision: if the word is real, it should rule something out.
Five options, all one sentence, no jargon. Under each I will name the word carrying the weight and say what signing up to it would actually oblige you to do.
| # | Mission | Load-bearing word | What it commits you to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | We make skincare people finish. | finish | Reporting repeat purchase, not first purchase |
| 2 | We build routines that survive a bad week. | survive | Designing for the missed day, not the perfect one |
| 3 | We sell the refill, not the bottle. | refill | Refills stay in stock even when bottles do not |
| 4 | We take steps out of skincare. | out | Never launching a fourth step, however well it would sell |
| 5 | We make the second month easier than the first. | second | Support and comms weighted to weeks 5 to 8 |
My read: 4 is the strongest sentence and the most dangerous. It is genuinely differentiating, it is short enough to repeat, and it forecloses a product line you will eventually want. That is what a real mission does, so I would only take it if the founders are prepared to lose that argument in two years.
1 is the safest, and it is not empty: "finish" gives marketing a metric it does not currently report on.
One caution. A mission is what you do now. Three of these read slightly ahead of where the business is: you do not yet have refill stock reliability behind option 3, and I have no data on your repeat rate to support option 1. Neither is a reason to drop them, but pick one you can defend in an interview this quarter, not next year.
Where this stops today. I can draft and pressure-test the wording. Saving it as the brand document that later outputs read from is a separate step, so keep this message and paste it into a new chat until then.
Naise created an artifact
Five one-sentence options, each priced in what committing to it would rule out.
Shortlist
| Mission | Commits you to |
|---|---|
| We take steps out of skincare. | Never shipping a fourth step |
| We make skincare people finish. | Reporting repeat, not first, purchase |
| We sell the refill, not the bottle. | Refill stock reliability you do not have yet |
Recommended: "We take steps out of skincare." Strongest and most costly. Take it only if you will hold it.
Not yet: saving this as the brand document other outputs read from.
That was a sample. Run it on your own brand.
Naise reads your brand, your channels, and your market, then does this against your real data.
