Competitor content audit
Twelve posts read as a set, the gap found in their comments rather than their captions, and one strength not to copy.
Run for Lumira, a demo brand we invented for this page. No customer data. Nothing here runs against a live account.
Every session here was run once and saved, against a demo brand or public data. On your own account Naise works from your brand voice, your campaigns and your connected channels, so it reasons about your data instead of a stand-in.
The gap is rarely in the captions. It is in the questions that appear under every post and never get answered, because those are the topics the brand has decided not to touch.
Reading the twelve as a set. One post tells you what they made; twelve tell you what they believe, and the comments tell you what their audience wanted instead.
Their three pillars, by volume.
| Pillar | Posts | Typical shape |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredient education | 6 | Carousel, percentage in the caption |
| Founder and lab | 4 | Face to camera, credential-led |
| Product launch | 2 | Studio shot, feature list |
Tone: authoritative, third person about the customer, no humour anywhere in twelve posts. Tactic: every caption ends with a question, and none of them are answered by the account.
Cadence: 4 posts a week, all between 09:00 and 11:00, all weekdays.
Now the comments, which is where the audit gets useful.
Across the twelve, three questions appear repeatedly and are never answered:
- "Can I use this with [other product]?" Appears 20-odd times. Never answered once.
- "How long until I see anything?" Appears in nine of twelve threads.
- "What if it stops working?" Fewer instances but the most emotionally loaded.
They do not answer these because all three imply the routine might not work, and their entire position is built on it working. The gap is not a topic they missed. It is a topic their positioning forbids.
The format they are not using: anything unedited. Twelve posts, zero unpolished shots, zero video over 30 seconds.
Five ideas that take the gap.
- "Can I use this with…" answered properly, as a recurring format. This is a free content pillar sitting in their comment section. Do it weekly.
- "How long until anything happens", with an honest timeline including the weeks where nothing visible occurs.
- What to do when it stops working. The question nobody in the category will answer. High trust, low competition.
- The unedited four minutes. Their content is all polished. The contrast does the work without you mentioning them.
- A weekend post. They post weekday mornings only. Their audience is not only awake on weekdays.
What not to copy: the ingredient education pillar.
They are better at it than you will be. They have a lab, a credentialled founder, and six posts of momentum. Competing there means being the second-most authoritative account on a topic where authority is the entire point, which is the worst position available. Their strength is real, and the correct response to a real strength is to go somewhere else.
One limit on this audit. Twelve posts is a snapshot, and I read the posts and comments you pasted. If their last twelve are unrepresentative, or if they answer these questions in DMs or Stories where I cannot see, the gap is smaller than it looks.
Naise created an artifact
Their pillars and cadence, three questions their positioning forbids them answering, and five ideas that take the gap.
The gap is in their comments
| Question | Appears | Answered |
|---|---|---|
| Can I use this with…? | ~20 times | Never |
| How long until I see anything? | 9 of 12 threads | Never |
| What if it stops working? | Several | Never |
They cannot answer these. All three imply the routine might not work, and their position is built on it working.
Do not copy
Ingredient education. They have a lab and a credentialled founder. Being the second-most authoritative account on authority is the worst position available.
Limit: 12 posts is a snapshot. Stories and DMs are invisible here.
That was a sample. Run it on your own brand.
Naise reads your brand, your channels, and your market, then does this against your real data.
